Blurs

The fog upon the window
blurs the world
like my eyes
upon my life

‘Ole Johnson

‘Ole Johnson went down to the shed
Yes he did
And ‘Ole Johnson found ‘em there
Yes he did
‘Ole Johnson found the body
‘Ole Johnson found the body
Yes he did
Yes he did
And ‘Ole Johnson let ‘em lie
Yes he did
Just let ‘em lie
Yes he did
Let ‘em lie there in the muck
Yes he did
And ‘Ole Johnson let him lie there
Yes he did
Because he put ‘em there
Yes he did
Yes he did
‘Ole Johnson put ‘em there
Yes he did
Yes he did
Yes ‘Ole Johnson put ‘em there
Yes he did

Vision

Is today
A vision of the future
Of days to come
Or just another day
In a forgotten past

Roaring

In our quieter moments
We can hear the universe roaring
Telling us what we will do

Lover

I fight my body
Like a lover
I can’t give up

Songbirds

Twisting in the wind
Are songbirds from a foreign land
Heralding a winter of discontent
For all across the land
Until the white blanket is shook
And green are banners lifted to the sun
By those who awaken from uneasy slumber
With the fever dreams of monsters from the past
Fading in the clear light

Heaven ✨

Stars rain like diamonds from the sky
To be gathered twinkling
As bright pocket-change
And spent for moments of joy
For heaven on Earth
