Perchance there’s more
Beyond this waking dream
Trapped in Newton’s well
Where souls waken at fiery sunrise
To cries of gliding beasts
And squabble amongst themselves
Rending themselves asunder
Over who rules the day
The suns do not care
In their blinking moments
About those who warm themselves
Beside their furies

For those who care to gaze
Beyond the ground they stand upon
Not caring whose turn it is
To proclaim dominion
For this day and beyond
The fires yet burn
Seemingly everlasting
Until the day they bank
And in the red dimness
Night will slowly return
Returning control to those who dream
Without care of the owners of the day
