Make America grate again
With selective law and whiter orders
Wrapped with fear and delivered postage due
To an address far, far away
From the shining city on a hill
That’s now a hazy vision of a panicked Potemkin
Clumsily arranged by tiny hands
That fits the narrative to a T

I am so over all this election stuff, in our faces 24/7, is there no end to it, there is no escape from it, what did we all do to deserve this, why can’t we be left alone, and what about our sanity????????????

Arrrggh. I never used to drink, but now the brewery is making home deliveries to me.

PLEASE STOP IT !!! (not the home delivery, just the 24/7 politics).

And if you don’t understand how I feel (or even if you do), then look at this YouTube cartoon, it says it all . . .

What’s kinda scary to me is that the 7/24 news cycle seems to be chopped up into ever smaller increments of time and through repetition, the talking points get spread around like facts once the original context is lost. It doesn’t help that the choices seem so abysmal.

      Thanks for stopping by!

The thing is, when a crowd is worked up into a frenzy, people are no longer able to tell the difference between a fact and a politician’s opinion. Continued media bombardment helps maintain that confusion. Clever stuff and all part of the “vote for me” technique.
It’s only after the frenzy has stopped that people see the reality of it all. Too late then.
