How

Can you tear out
What was never there
And that everyone saw
As you?

Where do you put things
Other people gave you
To carry for a lifetime
That weren’t for your life?

How do you find things
You always had in plain sight
But couldn’t see
Because you were in the way?

Who will guide you on the path
You must find alone
When they say it’s too dangerous
For someone like you?

How can you be yourself
When the world tells you who you are
And won’t let that go
Until they see you become them?
