Eclipse

The land darkens ahead of the sky
Before we pass into shadow
All stand in cold wonder
With stone before the sun
The rim of the horizon glows
While furies shine in matching halo
We float in brief moments
Suspended with stars and planets
Time passes into lengthening traces
Revealing all to normal
Forever changed

Billow

The fires burn upon the hill
With billow into the sky
And we hope
The hidden sun
Will be seen

Floating

Floating with no destination
Just feeling the waves
Taking them as they come
Being rocked to sleep
In their gentle swing
Is how to live in the moment
For as long as it lasts

Crave

To grasp in mutual embrace
And feel your body next to mine
While we devour touch
To feed our clutching hungers
Which growl insatiable
Is what I crave

Twine

As we twine our desires
I wonder
Will we braid a rope to bind us together
Or will we fray
Into loose ends yet again

Can’t

I can’t
I can’t even
Process this world
I live in now
So topsy-turvey
What county is this?
Is that really our president
What the fuck
I can’t

Punch Nazis

It really isn’t hard
Unless you’re dumber than a bunch of chard
Punching Nazis is the way to go
Unless you’re really slow

It’s a shame the White House resident
Doesn’t know how to be a President
If someone has to tell you to speak up
Maybe you belong in the lockup

Give them no quarter
Otherwise you’re a supporter
And the people will want to punch you
Into a sticky pile of goo
